As Vice President of Property Analysis & Underwriting, Dan Fox plays a key role in the analysis of financial and market feasibility for target properties in metro locations. Working side by side with other members of the Bay Area Property Team, Dan identifies under-utilized or vacant properties that are well-suited to investment and repurposing to fill residential needs. He helps the team decipher property constraints and conditions, participates in all stages of due diligence and financial analysis, and prepares opportunity summaries.
Dan began his career in real estate in 1998 at KB Home (then Kaufman & Broad), where he was a Land Acquisition Analyst. After two years, he went on to work with Taylor Woodrow in a similar role for five years, before joining Richmond American Homes as Forward Planning Manager. Following his work at Richmond American, he moved on to Ryland Homes where he served two years in land acquisition. Dan’s experience in development is augmented by 3 years as Senior Right-of-Way Officer for the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) on the Warm Springs to Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) connection in Fremont.
