Sophie Harris Vorhoff currently serves as the Minnesota State Director and Associate Vice President for the Trust for Public Land, responsible for leading initiatives to create parks and protect land in Minnesota and the Northwoods, with a focus on promoting outdoor access and equity. Prior to this role, Vorhoff was the Executive Director of Friends of Lafitte Greenway from 2014 to 2022, where leadership involved transforming a vacant rail corridor into a vibrant bike and walking trail in New Orleans. Additional experience includes coordinating community development projects post-Katrina for Providence Community Housing, managing a health research study at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, and serving as a summer youth sailing instructor at the Minneapolis Sailing Center. Vorhoff holds a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies and Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania and has also studied at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
