Angelica Benalcazar has over 15 years of experience in human resources and administration. Angelica is currently working as the Director of Human Resources and Payroll at The United Church of Canada. Prior to this, they held the position of Human Resources and Payroll Manager at the same company. Before joining The United Church of Canada, Angelica worked as the Human Resources & Administration Manager at Canadian Mothercraft Society for 8 years. Angelica has also worked as a Senior Sales Associate at Gap Inc./Banana Republic for over 20 years and as the Director of Administrative & Support Services at The Salvation Army for 10 years. Angelica started their career as an Administrative Assistant at Catholic Children's Aid Society of Toronto. Angelica has a post-secondary education in Human Resources Management and Business Administration. Angelica is skilled in various aspects of HR such as benefits administration, talent/performance management, recruitment/selection, training/development, payroll administration, people management, and process improvement. Angelica is known for their effective leadership, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Angelica Benalcazar obtained a Diploma/Certificate in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, General from Ryerson University from 1990 to 1993. Angelica later pursued a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management at York University from 2005 to 2011. In addition, Angelica Benalcazar obtained a Human Resources Solutions Certificate from HRPA - Human Resources Professionals Association in April 2023.
