Jim Cox

Jim Cox is an experienced leader in the non-profit sector, currently serving as Executive Director at The United Methodist Church since October 2024. Prior to this role, Jim held significant positions including Chief Operating Officer at Helen Keller International from February 2020 to September 2024 and Executive Vice President for Health and Emergency Programs at Corus International from January 2019 to January 2020. Jim's extensive background also includes serving as Chief Operating Officer and Country Director for Tanzania at IMA World Health, consulting on relief and development programs in Africa, and leading the United Methodist Committee on Relief as Executive Director from 1998 to 2008. Academically, Jim holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from Michigan State University and a Master's degree in International Politics and Economics from the University of Detroit Mercy.
