Osbert McLean

Deputy Technical Director Engineering And Maintenance at University Hospital of the West Indies (UHWI)

Osbert McLean has a strong work experience background, starting as an Electro Mechanical Technician trainee at the Port Authority of Jamaica in 2006. Osbert then worked as a Field Pump Mechanic at the National Water Commission from January 2007 to September 2007. Following this, they joined Ergo Construction as a Welder from September 2007 to March 2008. Osbert then worked at United Plastics Company Limited as a Technical Supervisor from April 2008 to April 2009. Since November 2009, Osbert has been serving as the Deputy Technical Director of Engineering and Maintenance at the University Hospital of the West Indies (UHWI).

Osbert McLean obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng) in Industrial System Engineering from the Caribbean Maritime University (formerly Caribbean Maritime Institute) from 2015 to 2019. Osbert also holds an Associate's Degree in Industrial System Operations and Maintenance from the Caribbean Maritime Institute, which they obtained from 2005 to 2007. Additionally, Osbert has obtained various certifications in areas such as public procurement, maintenance management, repair of ophthalmic equipment, operation of wastewater treatment plants, corporate and strategic planning, project management, and ventilator repairs and maintenance.
