Don Chaney

Don Chaney is a seasoned academic leader currently serving as Professor and Chair of the Department of Health Science at The University of Alabama since August 2020. Prior to this role, Chaney held the position of Associate Professor and Chair at East Carolina University from July 2013 to August 2020, and also served as a Professor and Chair there. Previous experience includes serving as Assistant Dean for Distance Education and Outreach at the University of Florida and as an Assistant Professor at both East Carolina University and Texas A&M University. Don Chaney's educational background includes a PhD in Health Education and Promotion from The University of Alabama, a Master of Science in Health Education and Promotion from Mississippi State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Fitness Management from the University of North Alabama.
