Lauren Wilson

Lauren Wilson currently serves as the Associate Vice President for Research at The University of Alabama, a position held since February 2023. With extensive experience at the University of Alabama from June 1998 to March 2023, Lauren held multiple roles including Assistant Vice President for Research and Technology Agreements, Director of Research Administration, and Senior Associate Director of the Office for Sponsored Programs. Lauren also has legal experience as a Senior Attorney with the Alabama Disabilities Advocacy Program (ADAP), focusing on civil litigation related to Title VII, ADA, Rehabilitation Act, IDEA, Fair Housing Act, Voting Rights, and Social Security. Lauren earned a Doctor of Law (JD) from Samford University from 1986 to 1989 and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Communications/Marketing from the University of Alabama from 1982 to 1986.
