Matthew Hudnall

Matthew Hudnall is an accomplished academic and professional in the field of computer science, serving as an Associate Professor at the Management Information Systems department of the University of Alabama since 2017, and recently as President of the Faculty Senate. With extensive experience in software development and project management, Matthew has held leadership roles such as Deputy Director at both the Institute of Data & Analytics and the Center for Advanced Public Safety, where contributions included the design of Alabama's electronic citation used by law enforcement. Education credentials include a Ph.D. and an M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Alabama, along with a B.S. in Mathematics from Troy State University. Prior to academic roles, Matthew gained valuable experience as a web developer and network technician, making significant contributions to various organizations, including the National Institutes of Health.
