Niko Francis

Niko Francis is currently serving as a Comprehensive Care, Community, and Culture Program Research Assistant at UChicago Medicine since September 2024. Previous experience includes working as an Education and Access Associate at Local Matters from April 2023 to July 2024, and as a Garden Educator at Franklinton Farms from August 2023 to May 2024. Niko also has a background as a Rock Climbing Instructor at the Outdoor Adventure Center at The Ohio State University from November 2019 to May 2023, a College Intern at the Ohio Department of Natural Resources from May 2022 to December 2022, an AmeriCorps Crew Member at Southwest Conservation Corps in the summer of 2021, and as a Community Garden AmeriCorps VISTA Summer Associate with the Ohio Association of Foodbanks in June to August 2020. Additional experience includes an internship as a Solar Energy: Ohio Community Organizing Intern at Invenergy LLC from September 2019 to April 2020. Niko holds a double major in Public Policy and Sociology from The Ohio State University, graduating in 2023.
