Mary Kasper, PhD, currently serves as the Assistant Director for STEM Careers at the University of Chicago since April 2024. Previously, Mary held the position of Consultant at Alto Neuroscience from November 2023 to March 2024 and worked as a Biomaterials Scientist at Aqua Cultured Foods from May 2022 to October 2023. Mary gained significant research experience as a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of Florida from August 2017 to May 2022, and as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Analytical Instrumentation Facility (AIF) at NC State from June 2014 to August 2017. Additional undergraduate research experience includes the role of Undergraduate Researcher at NC State University's Materials Science Department and participation as an NSF International Student Researcher at UNSW in the summer of 2016. Mary holds a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Florida and a Bachelor of Science in Materials Science & Engineering from North Carolina State University.
