Suleyman Coskun

Suleyman Coskun is a PhD researcher at The University of Manchester, focusing on the assessment of saline aquifers and depleted fields for Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) opportunities in the Norwegian North Sea since September 2021. Previously, Suleyman held multiple roles at Türkiye Petrolleri A.O., including Manager of GHG Management in the Carbon Management Department, where responsibilities included managing carbon emissions, and as an Exploration Geophysicist involved in various seismic projects in Southeastern Anatolia. In addition to these roles, Suleyman served as an Operations Geophysicist, contributing to marine and field geophysical surveys, and worked as a Research Geophysicist at the University of Houston and a Marine Research Geophysicist at Dokuz Eylul University, focusing on subsurface analysis and marine geological studies. Suleyman holds a PhD in Geological and Earth Sciences from The University of Manchester and multiple degrees in Geophysics and Marine Geology from the University of Houston and Dokuz Eylul University.
