Sandy Liggett

VP and General Counsel at The University of New Mexico

Sandy Liggett's work experience begins in 1987 at NAICU, where they served as the Ex Dir Tax Policy and GC until 1991. They then worked at Lonestar Community College District as the Vice Chancellor for Human Resources and General Counsel from 1995 to 2005. In 2005, they became the Deputy University Counsel at UNM until 2008, when they transitioned to the role of VP and General Counsel at the University of New Mexico Foundation. Two years later, in 2011, Sandy Liggett became the Chief Designer at Whispirit, where they are responsible for designing apparel made from felted alpaca. They also co-own Whispering Spirit Alpacas since 2008.

Sandy Liggett completed their education in a chronological order. They attended Wm. Fremd High School from 1969 to 1971, earning their high school diploma. They then pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Languages at Northwestern University from 1971 to 1974. Following that, they attended The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law from 1977 to 1980, obtaining a Juris Doctor (JD) degree in Law.
