Louise Hickson

Executive Dean, Faculty of Health & Behavioural Sciences at The University of Queensland

Louise Hickson AM serves as the Executive Dean at The University of Queensland since June 1997 and has held various roles, including Associate Dean External Engagement and Director of the Communication Disability Centre. In addition to this, Louise is the Head of the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences and has been the President of the International Society of Audiology since May 2022. Louise holds the position of Honorary Professor at the University of Hong Kong and serves as Chair of the Expert Circle on Family-Centred Hearing Care for Phonak. Previous leadership roles include Chair of the Advisory Board at the Ida Institute and Project Leader at HEARing CRC. Louise has also served as President of Audiology Australia from November 2012 to November 2016. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Audiology, a Master of Audiology, and a Bachelor of Speech Therapy (Honours I), all obtained from The University of Queensland.
