Shane Pitman

Shane Pitman has a comprehensive work experience in the field of human resources, primarily in the university sector. Shane began their career as an HR Consultant at The University of Queensland in 1995 and worked in this role until 2007. From 2007 to 2012, Pitman served as a Senior HR Manager, Human Resource Services at Griffith University. Shane then advanced to the position of Associate Director, HR Client Services at Griffith University from 2013 to 2019.

In 2019, Pitman returned to The University of Queensland, where they held the role of Associate Director, People Services until 2021. From 2021 to 2023, they served as the Director, People Services at The University of Queensland. Pitman then took on the role of Acting Chief HR Officer for a few months in 2023. Currently, they hold the position of Director, HR Transformation at The University of Queensland, starting from January 2024.

Throughout their career, Shane Pitman has amassed diverse experience in HR management and has consistently worked in leadership positions, demonstrating their expertise in managing and transforming HR services in the university sector.

Shane Pitman completed their Masters of Human Resource Management at Griffith University from 2013 to 2015. Before that, they obtained a BBus degree in Human Resource Management from QUT (Queensland University of Technology) between 1992 and 1996. Shane'searliest known education is from Newmarket State High School, where they attended from 1984 to 1988.
