Tennore Ramesh is a distinguished academic and research professional in the field of translational neuroscience, currently serving as a Lecturer at the University of Sheffield since December 2008. Prior to this, Ramesh was the Founder of the PALS Fund for ALS drug discovery and a Research Scientist at The Ohio State University from 2004 to 2008. Ramesh also held the position of Founding Scientist and Chief Scientific Officer at the ALS Therapy Development Institute from 2000 to 2004, and worked as a Research Scientist focused on pharmacogenomics at CuraGen Corporation between 1998 and 2000. Additional experience includes postdoctoral fellowships at the University of Michigan and The Ohio State University, as well as early career work as a Veterinarian with the Tamil Nadu Milk Producers Union. Ramesh's academic credentials include a PhD in Microbiology and Immunology and an MS in Animal Sciences from the University of Kentucky, along with a D.V.M in Veterinary Medicine from Madras Veterinary College.
