Dr Laura Hamlet

Dr. Laura Hamlet currently serves as Chief Executive of the Coigach Community Development Company and holds a position as Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Stirling. With extensive experience in environmental and geological conservation, Dr. Hamlet was previously Geopark Manager for the North West Highlands UNESCO Global Geopark and served as Board Trustee for the Scottish Geology Trust, contributing to its establishment. Additional roles include Project Officer for various organizations focused on sustainable heritage and ecotourism, and instructional positions in climbing and historical guiding. Dr. Hamlet's academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Geoarchaeology from the University of Stirling, complemented by a Master of Research in Environmental History and a BA in Archaeology and Ancient History from Newcastle University.
