Brian Gard

Brian Gard serves as the Director of Emergency Management and Director of Special Events at the University of Tennessee, a role held since July 2005. In addition, Brian Gard is the President of the Emergency Management Association of Tennessee, a position assumed in October 2018. Previously, Brian Gard held the rank of Major and served as an Engineer Officer in the United States Marine Corps from September 1983 to September 2005. Brian Gard holds an MBA from the Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee (2009-2010) and a BA in Psychology from The Citadel (1990-1993).
