Lucas Nogueira Garcez

Lucas Nogueira Garcez is an experienced data scientist currently working at Circular Brain since September 2020. Alongside this role, Garcez serves as an academic assistant at the University of Tennessee and held the position of research fellow at the Institute for Applied Economic Research from July to December 2022. Previous experience includes consultancy work for the Ministério da Mulher da Família e dos Direitos Humanos and Upperbag, as well as academic assistance at the University of Delaware. Garcez has held various roles including legal engineer and intern, contributing to a solid foundation in economics, law, and computer science. Academically, Garcez is pursuing a PhD in Economics at the University of Tennessee, alongside master's degrees in computer science from the University of Pennsylvania, econometrics from the University of Delaware, law and development, and economics and finance from FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas, and a bachelor’s degree in social sciences from USP - Universidade de São Paulo, complemented by a law degree from FGV.
