Ondrej Chvala

Ondrej Chvala currently serves as a Senior Research Scientist and Senior Research Fellow at The University of Texas at Austin, where contributions involve the design, development, and licensing of the Molten Salt Research Reactor and advising on digital twins projects related to radiation transport and reactor physics. With a longstanding affiliation at the University of Tennessee, Ondrej holds roles as an HPC system administrator and Research Assistant Professor of Nuclear Engineering, focusing on teaching and research in nuclear reactor theory and HPC applications. Ondrej's early career included postdoctoral positions at the University of California, Riverside, Brookhaven National Laboratory, and collaborations with the PHENIX experiment, emphasizing data analysis and detector R&D. Ondrej's educational background includes a PhD and MSc in physics from Charles University, complemented by experiences in various system administration roles throughout the academic and technical fields.
