Asmit Chakraborty

Asmit Chakraborty is an undergraduate researcher at The University of Texas at Austin, focusing on the empirical analysis of data related to elliptic curves and modern number theory conjectures under the guidance of Professor Jay Bartroff. Previously a data science intern at FTI Consulting, Asmit developed a sophisticated review forecasting model utilizing DistilBERT and various data reduction techniques while fine-tuning neural networks in PyTorch. Asmit has experience in leadership roles within the University Securities Investment Team, serving as both Executive Director and Director of Data Science, and as an Intelligence Analyst, contributing to laboratory data automation. Asmit also served as a mathematics teacher at Mathnasium, fostering students' confidence in math. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Statistics and Data Science with a minor in Mathematics, Asmit's academic journey began at Cinco Ranch High School.
