Franco Pestilli

Franco Pestilli is an Associate Professor at The University of Texas at Austin, with a research focus on neuroimaging, neuroscience, vision science, and cognitive science. Prior positions include Associate Professor and Assistant Professor at Indiana University Bloomington, Research Associate and Postdoctoral Researcher at Stanford University, and Postdoctoral Fellow at Columbia University. Pestilli's expertise spans white-matter microstructure, brain tractography, computational modeling of human behavior, psychophysics of visual perception, and neuroeconomic task performance. Academic training includes a Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology from New York University, alongside postdoctoral studies in neurobiology and computational neuroscience. Pestilli has also organized international conferences and participated in collaborative research initiatives across multiple institutions.
