Elmer Bernstam

Elmer Bernstam serves as the Associate Dean for Research and a Professor at the School of Biomedical Informatics at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Bernstam is also a member of the American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA) and previously held the position of NLM Fellow and Clinical Faculty at Stanford University. Early in their career, Bernstam completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, MI. Bernstam holds a Master of Science in Biomedical Informatics from Stanford University (1999-2001) and a Doctor of Medicine and Master of Science from the University of Michigan (1988-1995).
