David Lein

David Lein has extensive legal and academic experience, currently serving as Assistant Vice Chancellor and Managing Counsel in Business Law at The University of Texas System since January 2018, while also holding a position as an Adjunct Professor at The University of Texas School of Law since 2012. Prior roles include Senior Associate General Counsel & Managing Attorney at The University of Texas System and Lawyer at Graves Dougherty Hearon & Moody and George & Donaldson/George & Brothers. Early legal experience includes a clerkship for Senior U.S. District Judge William Wayne Justice. David Lein holds a JD from Harvard Law School, a Master's in Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School, and a BA in Liberal Arts from The University of Texas at Austin.
