Ahmed Elagali

Ahmed Elagali, PhD, is a Senior Advisor in Epidemiology and Data Science at Minderoo Foundation since July 2022, also holding the title of Principal Epidemiology and Data Science. Additionally, Elagali serves as an Honorary Senior Research Fellow at The University of Western Australia. Prior experience includes roles as a Senior Research Scientist at Telethon Kids Institute and Postdoctoral Researcher at CSIRO, where research focused on developing imaging pipelines for astronomical surveys and analyzing cosmological simulations. Elagali's educational background encompasses a PhD in Astronomy and Astrophysics from The University of Western Australia, a Master's degree in Astronomy and Astrophysics, and an Honours degree in Astrophysics from the University of Cape Town, along with a Bachelor's degree in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics from the University of Khartoum.
