Nikolaos Reppas

Honorary Senior Research Fellow at University of Birmingham

Nikolaos Reppas currently serves as an Assistant Professor at the University of Warwick, overseeing the Civil and Infrastructure Engineering Degree Apprenticeship (CEDA) program and teaching Geotechnical Engineering modules. In addition to this role, Nikolaos is an Honorary Senior Research Fellow and Research Fellow at the University of Birmingham, focusing on developing a weather-related risk assessment framework for buried infrastructure as part of the STORMS project. Previous experience includes serving as a Computational Geoscientist R&D at Net-Zero Geosystems and a Research and Teaching Associate in Geotechnical Engineering at the University of Strathclyde. Additionally, Nikolaos has lectured at Newcastle College and conducted PhD research at Newcastle University regarding the Thermo-Hydro-Mechanical behavior of sandstone during CO2 injection. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Civil Engineering from Newcastle University, a Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering from the University of Dundee, and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Patras, complemented by an online course at Stanford University on Unconventional Reservoir Geomechanics.
