Melanie Walls

Melanie Walls is a highly experienced scientific professional currently serving as the Scientific Director at Concept Fertility Centre since April 2024. Walls also contributes as a PGD Committee Member for the Reproductive Technology Unit at the Department of Health (WA Health) and holds the position of Adjunct Senior Lecturer at The University of Western Australia. In addition to these roles, Walls has been an Assessor for the Immigration Assessment of IVF Scientists/Embryologists at the Australian Institute of Medical and Clinical Scientists since March 2019. Previously, Walls held significant leadership positions including Regional Scientific Director at City Fertility and Scientific Director at Fertility North. Walls started as a Senior Embryologist and Research Scientist at Fertility Specialists of WA. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in In Vitro Maturation and a B.Med.Sc with Honours from The University of Western Australia, alongside a Bachelor of Science from The University of Notre Dame Australia.
