Federico González Castañón

Federico González Castañón has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and industries. Starting in 2009, they worked as a Junior Java Developer at IBM before moving on to roles such as Java Developer at Panarea and Math Teacher at Instituto América del Sur.

In 2010, Federico joined ANSES as a Senior Engineering Manager, where they worked on multiple projects involving JAVA 8, .NET 4.5, NodeJs 10, and SQLServer. Federico also served as a Lead Technical Specialist, responsible for major front and back-end decisions, mentoring junior team members, and establishing documentation standards.

In 2015, Federico took on the role of IT Consultant at citep - UBA and Engineering Manager at creatividad HERA. During this time, they provided consulting services and managed engineering teams.

From 2017 to 2019, Federico worked as an Engineering Manager for the Virtual Microscope Project at Universidad de Buenos Aires. Federico then joined BairesDev as a Solutions Architect Leader, leading a team of SR developers and focusing on improving company processes and the technical assessment of clients' hiring needs.

In 2021, they became an Engineering Manager at Mode Mobile, where they led multiple teams and focused on coaching and creating processes to ensure quality across the board. Currently, Federico serves as the Director of Engineering at Vaan, leading a team of 17 developers and focusing on increasing the success rate of client deliveries through process improvements and effective hiring practices.

Federico González Castañón obtained a Master's degree in Systems Engineering from the Universidad Tecnológica Nacional from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Engineering in Systems Engineering at the same university from 2006 to 2014. In their earlier years of education, they attended Escuela superior de comercio Carlos Pellegrini from 2001 to 2005, where they obtained a degree in Perito mercantil.
