Melissa Blackstone was promoted to Resident Services Director in 2022. Previously she was the ConnectedLiving director at The Village at Rockville for the last five years and enjoys being at the helm of the department responsible for creating programming and keeping residents engaged in community life. Melissa holds a bachelor of science degree in business management from George Mason University. She is a certified dementia practitioner recognized by the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners and a certified leader in wellness management recognized by the International Council on Active Aging. Her chief interest is in growing a culture focused on improving quality of life for residents by fostering an atmosphere of engagement around the seven dimensions of wellness.
