Carlos Lopez

Carlos Lopez has an extensive work experience in the legal field. Carlos started their career as a Labor and Employment Associate at Kaye Scholer LLP in 2008, where they gained experience in employment discrimination litigation, wage-hour litigation, and counseling on employment agreements and restrictive covenants. In 2012, they joined Seyfarth Shaw as a Labor and Employment Associate, representing and counseling clients in labor and employment law and handling complex litigation cases. In 2014, they transitioned to The Vitamin Shoppe as an Assistant General Counsel and later moved up to Associate General Counsel. In 2020, they served as Deputy General Counsel, responsible for enterprise litigation defense, labor and employment law compliance, privacy law compliance, and regulatory compliance functions. Currently, Carlos holds the position of Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary at The Vitamin Shoppe, where they lead the legal department and provides legal and strategic advice to the executive leadership and board of directors. Additionally, Carlos is a board member of the Natural Products Association since 2023.

Carlos Lopez received their Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in Law from the New York Law School, where they studied from 2005 to 2008. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Journalism from the University of Central Florida, where they attended from 1999 to 2003.
