Deepak Rajan

Deepak Rajan is a Senior Member of Research Staff at The Voleon Group since March 2019. Previously, Deepak held the position of Associate Adjunct Professor in the Industrial Engineering and Operations Research department at UC Berkeley from January 2013 to July 2019. Deepak's earlier experience includes roles as a Computer Scientist at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory from October 2011 to March 2019 and as a Research Staff Member at IBM Research from October 2004 to October 2011. Deepak also served as a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of California at Berkeley from August 1999 to December 2004, where Deepak earned a Ph.D. in Operations Research. Deepak's research interests encompass integer programming, stochastic programming, parallel algorithm design, large-scale optimization techniques, and computational optimization. Deepak obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras in 1999.
