Steve Howard

Steve Howard is a seasoned professional with a robust background in data science and software engineering. Currently serving as a Member of Research Staff at The Voleon Group since March 2023, previous roles include Data Scientist at LinkedIn and Member of Research Staff at The Voleon Group. Steve has extensive experience in statistical research and experimentation methodologies, having held contract positions at Optimizely and Thumbtack, where predictive models and long-term service provider metrics were developed. A solid foundation in software development was established at prominent companies such as Google and Microsoft, where Steve contributed to significant Android system improvements and resolution-independent font rendering projects. Steve holds a PhD in Statistics from the University of California, Berkeley, and a BA in Computer Science from Harvard University.
