Jake Schirmer

Appointed CEO in 2019, Jake Schirmer is responsible for leading numerous development projects, opportunities, and construction projects in Kentucky and surrounding states. He is responsible for achieving success by implementing creative solutions both as a contractor and as a developer. As the business progresses, Mr. Schirmer has been a driving force in managing and developing new partnerships to steer the company’s momentum and achievements. Prior to The Walker Company, Mr. Schirmer has more than 20 years of commercial lending and banking experience. He held several leadership positions throughout his career. Bridging new opportunities for owners, Jake integrates the capital component with construction, and utilizes his business acumen to advance development projects. Early in his career as a credit analyst, Mr. Schirmer earned an MBA from Illinois State University. Jake holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. He is also a veteran and proudly served in the United States Army.
