Kakhaber Abashidze is the Country Manager & Media Head, The Walt Disney Company Russia & CIS and Central & Eastern Europe at The Walt Disney Company. Prior to this, they were with Fox International Channels (FIC) as the Regional Manager from April 2007 to December 2008. Their responsibilities at FIC included P&L control and general and operational management of Fox International Channels portfolio in Russia, Baltic states and the CIS. Before joining FIC, they were with Industria Media as the Vice President, Business Development from May 2006 to April 2007. At Industria Media, Kakhaber was responsible for business planning, content and new client acquisitions.

Kakhaber started their career in March 1998 as a Telecoms Analyst at Frost & Sullivan. Kakhaber then moved to Fox Kids Europe in March 1999 as the Head of On-line and Network Development. In January 2004, they took on the role of Commercial Director, CEE and Emerging Markets at Jetix.

Kakhaber Abashidze pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in International Management at Birkbeck, University of London. Kakhaber also holds a Certificate in English Language for Academic Purposes from Westminster Adult Education Services, a Diploma in Journalism from the School of Journalism at Journalists House of Georgia, and a Law degree from Tbilisi State University, Faculty of International Relations and International Law.

Kakhaber Abashidze reports to Jan Koeppen, President, EMEA. They work with Simon Amselem - Country Manager, The Walt Disney Company Spain, Portugal, and Africa, and Head of Media, Spain, Daniel Frigo - Country Manager & Head of Studio Distribution, The Walt Disney Company Italy and Country Manager TIG (Turkey, Israel, Greece), and Lee Jury - SVP, Studios Marketing, The Walt Disney Company EMEA.
