Lucas Swanepoel

Lucas Swanepoel serves as Senior Director at The Catholic Health Association of the United States since May 2019 and is also a Board Member for SOAR! Support Our Aging Religious, Inc., which supports Catholic religious congregations. Additionally, Lucas holds the position of Board Treasurer for The Waterfront Project, Inc., a nonprofit that assists economically disadvantaged individuals in Hudson County. Previous roles include Vice President of Social Policy and Senior Director of Government Affairs at Catholic Charities USA, and Associate Director at the USCCB Office of Governmental Relations. Earlier experience includes serving as Legal Attache at the Permanent Observer Mission of the Holy See to the United Nations and as a Certified Student Attorney at the Ramsey County Attorney's Office. Lucas holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of St. Thomas School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
