Jonathan Erdman

Jonathan Erdman began their work experience in 1996 as a Senior Meteorologist at WeatherData, Inc. During this time, they issued site-specific storm warnings and adverse weather outlooks for various industries. Jonathan also provided forecast consultation. In 1998, Erdman joined weather.com, The Weather Company as a Senior National Weather Producer. In this role, they served as the chief meteorological liaison for various shows and was responsible for covering relevant meteorological stories. Erdman utilized software platforms to produce on-air weather graphics and communicate breaking weather and forecast elements. In 2010, Erdman transitioned to the role of Senior Digital Meteorologist and Writer at weather.com, where they research and creates multi-platform content covering weather stories and innovative weather topics. Jonathan engages consumers through various tools such as graphic platforms, social media, live chats, and video briefings to provide in-depth meteorological perspective.

Jonathan Erdman earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where they studied from 1990 to 1994. Jonathan then pursued a Master of Science degree in Atmospheric Science at Colorado State University, completing their studies from 1994 to 1996.
