Nick Loy

Digital Designer at The Weather Channel

Nick Loy has a diverse range of work experience in graphic design and creative services. Nick is currently working as a Digital Designer at The Weather Channel since February 2022. Prior to that, they operated their own design business, Nick Loy Design, as a Freelance Designer starting from January 2019.

Nick also gained valuable experience in the sports industry. Nick worked with the Atlanta Braves in 2021, first as a Contract Designer from January to June, and then as a Creative Services Trainee from June to December. In their role as a Trainee, they contributed to the team's success in winning the World Series by implementing motion graphics on social media, creating digital ads, and delivering graphics for the 2021 Postseason run.

Before the Atlanta Braves, Nick was a Designer at SportsTrust Advisors from June to December 2020. Additionally, they participated in a sponsored course called SCADPro - Sponsored Course at BlackRock from January to April 2020.

In terms of internship experience, Nick interned at Forty Nine Degrees as a Design Intern in the summer of 2019. Nick also worked as a Freelance Graphic Designer for Gametime Gear from November 2017 to February 2018, and for Stadium Sports from June to August 2016. At Stadium Sports, they collaborated with the store owner and production staff to create various branded products.

In addition to their professional experience, Nick served as the Men's Golf Team Captain at the Savannah College of Art and Design from August 2018 to June 2021, demonstrating their leadership skills. Overall, Nick Loy has a strong background in graphic design and has shown versatility in various industries.

Nick Loy attended Junius H. Rose High School from 2013 to 2017, but did not receive a degree or specialize in any specific field of study during this time. Subsequently, from 2017 to 2021, they pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Motion Media Design at Savannah College of Art and Design.
