Engineering Team Lead at The Weir Group

Chris Snyder has a diverse work experience in engineering roles. Chris started their career at ControlTech LLC as a Design Engineer, where they designed hydraulic disc brake systems and upgraded CAD packages. Chris then joined The Weir Group PLC, ESCO Division as a Senior Design Engineer in 2001, working on new product development. Chris later became an Engineering Team Lead at The Weir Group, where they led a young optimization engineering team and launched the Geovor dredge product line. In their role as a Senior Design Engineer, they contributed to the development of a patented dredge wear parts system, Geovor. Chris has a strong track record of meeting customer needs and expectations, as evidenced by the adoption of Geovor by major dredging companies worldwide.

Chris Snyder attended Bellevue Community College from 1993 to 1998, where they pursued an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Engineering. Following this, they attended Central Washington University from 1998 to 2000, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
