Andrew Nguyen

Andrew Nguyen currently serves as the Senior Director of Work Readiness at The Welcoming Center since October 2024. Prior to this role, Andrew held the position of Employment Program Manager at HIAS Pennsylvania from January 2022 to September 2024, where oversight of five employment programs was maintained, leading a team that assisted over 350 newly arrived refugees and immigrants annually. Andrew previously worked as the Refugee Career Pathways Program Coordinator, developing career development services and establishing partnerships with vocational training providers. From June 2015 to September 2021, Andrew worked at UNITE HERE Local 26 as a Union Organizer and Representative, negotiating contracts for over 2,500 employees and training numerous members in leadership roles. Andrew also has experience as a Research Analyst, contributing to corporate and financial research for strategic planning. Andrew earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Anthropology from Brandeis University in 2015.
