Carlos A. Toruño Paniagua

Carlos A. Toruño Paniagua is a Senior Data Analyst at the World Justice Project, with expertise in data wrangling, management, analysis, and the development of data visualization tools using R, Python, and Shiny. Prior to this role, Carlos served as a Consultant for political and institutional topics at Programa Estado de la Nación, focusing on the Nicaraguan Post-Electoral Survey. Previously, Carlos worked as a Senior Economist and Research Assistant at FUNIDES, engaging in research related to social topics, and as a Lecturer at Universidad Centroamericana, imparting knowledge in economics courses. Carlos also gained experience as an Economic Analyst at Procompetencia Nicaragua, where responsibilities included analyzing market data and assessing competition cases. Carlos holds a Master of Science in Development Economics from The University of Göttingen and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Economics from Universidad Centroamericana.
