Becca King

Becca King has been a professional in the web development field since 2020, when they began working as a Web Developer for AmeriMark Direct. In this role, they were the primary front-end specialist on a team of web developers, creating fully responsive webpages according to design specifications using HTML, CSS and Less Preprocessing, JavaScript and jQuery. Becca also used Git version control to track projects and organize parallel tasks. In the same year, they were also a Web Developer for North Coast Media, LLC, where they developed and maintained websites with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery, WordPress, PHP and SQL. Additionally, they implemented responsive design, Google reCAPTCHA validation and Google Tag Manager. In 2017, they were a Graduate Assistant for Journalism at Ohio University, and a freelance news writer and magazine writer. In 2016, they were a Community Educator and Volunteer Coordinator for AmeriCorps. Becca is currently a Frontend Developer for The Wyanoke Group.

Becca King completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and co-major in Environmental Science from Miami University in 2016. Becca then pursued a Master of Science in Journalism from Ohio University in 2017 and completed it in 2019. Most recently, they attended General Assembly in 2019 and 2020 to study Software Engineering.
