Hamish Balfour

Hamish Balfour has a strong background in engineering and technical support, primarily focusing on high-end editing and compositing systems. Hamish has experience with Autodesk Flame products, as well as various other post-production software and hardware. Throughout their career, Hamish has provided support for different operating systems including Linux, Windows, and Mac OSX. Hamish is also familiar with software plugins, render managers, and license servers. Hamish has worked for companies such as The Mill, XTFX, Gramercy Park Studios, Prime Focus Technologies, Oktobor Films, Moving Picture Company, Red Lorry Yellow Lorry, and Silicon Graphics.

Hamish Balfour attended Auckland Grammar School, although the specific dates of their enrollment are unknown. Following their high school education, they enrolled at The University of Auckland in 1984 and completed their studies in 1989. During their time at the university, they pursued a degree in History and Law. In 1994, Hamish Balfour briefly attended the New Zealand Film and Television Training School, where they obtained a Certificate in Film and Television with a focus on Cinematography and Film/Video Production.
