Lead Compositor at The Mill

Mazyar Sharifian has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Mazyar is currently working as a Lead Compositor at The Mill since January 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Digital Compositor at MPC from July 2016 to February 2022. Mazyar also had a brief fellowship at Epic Games in May and June 2021. Before entering the visual effects industry, Mazyar worked as a System Support Assistant at Savannah College of Art and Design from September 2015 to June 2016. Mazyar was also an Instructor at INVERSE School from July 2010 to February 2015, teaching various subjects. Mazyar started their career as a Graphic, Motion-Graphics Designer and VFX Artist at Shetab Tech, where they worked from an unknown date in 2005 until February 2015. Mazyar has also worked as a Network Official, Admin, and Gamer at Cyber LAN Gaming Center from July 2002 to July 2004. Prior to their professional career, Mazyar had a brief stint as an Actor in the freelance acting industry from an unknown date in 1995 to 1997.

Mazyar Sharifian has a diverse education history. In 2002-2003, they attended Shahid Motahari Institute and earned their high school degree with a focus on mathematics. From 2004 to 2009, they pursued a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Industrial Engineering at Parand Islamic Azad University (PIAU). In 2013-2014, Mazyar Sharifian attended Inverse School and completed a program called LUDUS, specializing in Academic Digital Painting and Drawing. Following this, in 2015-2016, they attended Savannah College of Art and Design, where they obtained a Master's Degree in Visual Effects for Film and Television.

In addition to their formal education, Mazyar Sharifian has obtained several certifications. In 2015, they earned certification in Pixar's Renderman from Pixar Animation Studios. In 2016, they received the Adobe Certified Associate in Visual Communication Using Adobe Photoshop and the Adobe Certified Associate in Video Communication Using Adobe Premiere Pro from Adobe. In 2017, they completed online courses and earned certifications in Python programming, including "Learning Python," "Programming Foundations: Real-World Examples," "Python 3 Essential Training," and "Become a Python Developer" from LinkedIn. In 2020, they obtained a certification in DaVinci Resolve 16 from Blackmagic Design. Most recently, in 2021, they earned an Unmanned Aircraft System Certificate from the Federal Aviation Administration and completed the Unreal Fellowship: Virtual Production program from Unreal Engine.
