Aqib Zia

Aqib Zia has a diverse work experience spanning from 2010 to the present. Aqib began their career by holding various career-building roles in different companies until 2015. From 2014 to 2015, they worked as a Junior Career Associate at the Goodman School of Business - Brock University. In 2015, they joined Hudson's Bay Company as a Human Resources Administrator and Recruiter, and later became a Human Resources & Training Coordinator from 2016 to 2017.

In 2017, Aqib joined Tridel and held multiple positions within the Talent Development department. Aqib started as a Talent Development Coordinator, where they played a key role in Tridel's talent management programs and employee-based initiatives. Aqib then became an Assistant Talent Development Manager from 2019 to 2021, and subsequently promoted to Manager, Talent Development. In this role, they focused on employee communication, recruitment, onboarding, training, development, and employee relations.

From 2021 to 2022, Aqib worked at ecobee as the Manager of People Operations, responsible for overseeing various people-related functions within the organization. Currently, they are employed at Thentia as a People Programs Manager, starting in January 2023.

Aqib Zia attended the Goodman School of Business at Brock University from 2010 to 2015, where they pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. After completing their formal education, they obtained additional certifications. In December 2018, they became a Certified Sustainability Professional (CSR-P) through the CSE - Center for Sustainability and Excellence. Furthermore, in April 2021, they acquired a certification in Organizational Learning and Development from LinkedIn.
