VP of Marketing at Thentia

Carolyn Dilks has a diverse work experience in the marketing and communications field. Carolyn is currently serving as the VP of Marketing at Thentia Cloud since November 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of Senior Director of Marketing at the same company from July 2021 to December 2021. Before joining Thentia Cloud, they worked as a Marketing Consultant from February 2021 to July 2021.

In 2020, Carolyn founded their own company, Carolyn Dilks Marketing Co., where they served as the Founder with an ongoing role. Prior to that, they worked as a Marketing Manager at Espresso Capital from March 2019 to July 2021.

From 2016 to 2019, Carolyn served as the Senior Manager of Marketing & Communications at the Canadian Venture Capital & Private Equity Association. In this role, they managed the planning, execution, and evaluation of all marketing and communications efforts, including overseeing the organization's communications team and external vendors. Carolyn also played a key role in conceptualizing and managing the organization's inbound marketing strategy.

Before joining the CVCA, Carolyn worked as the Manager of Communications & Marketing at the Tire and Rubber Association of Canada from July 2013 to March 2016. Carolyn was responsible for managing all internal and external communications and marketing efforts, as well as providing executive-level support to the President.

Carolyn's earlier experience includes working as a Teaching Assistant at Brock University from September 2012 to May 2013, where they organized seminars and provided academic support to students. Carolyn also worked as a Multimedia Journalist at Sun Media from October 2008 to September 2012, where they reported on municipal and regional affairs and was responsible for photography, page design, website maintenance, and social media management.

Carolyn Dilks has a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in the Department of Communication, Popular Culture & Film from Brock University. Carolyn also holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Communications & Popular Culture from the same institution. In addition, Carolyn obtained a diploma in Journalism/Print from Niagara College. Carolyn has also completed a Digital Marketing Online Certificate Course from the Canadian Marketing Association, although the month and year of completion are unknown.
