Victor Chi

Victor Chi has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Victor started their career as a Composing Room Editor at the Chicago Tribune in 1991. After a brief stint, they joined the San Jose Mercury News in 1992 as a Sports Reporter, where they covered the San Jose Sharks as a beat writer for nine seasons and the Oakland Raiders for one season. During this time, they also interviewed prominent athletes such as Pat Tillman, Kerri Walsh, and Tom Brady when they were high school athletes. Victor then transitioned to a role as a Journalism Instructor at Northwestern University's Medill School in 2003, where they taught an intensive summer session for rising high school seniors and was later promoted to co-head instructor in 2006. In 2007, they joined The Sporting News as an NHL Writer before moving on to ThePostGame in 2008. At ThePostGame, they led the editorial team and played a key role in the company's evolution from a digital magazine to a studio/consultancy that created, distributed, and monetized video content for brands, leagues, teams, and media outlets. Victor was promoted to Senior Director, Content Strategy in August 2022. Overall, Victor Chi has a well-rounded background in journalism, content strategy, and instruction.

Victor Chi obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from Northwestern University, where they also pursued a minor in Political Science. Victor attended the university from 1987 to 1991.
