Barry Anderson

Senior Vice President, Global Clinical Operations at Theradexå¨

Barry Anderson has over 20 years of experience in the field of oncology drug clinical development. Barry started their career as an Attending Physician at Georgetown University Medical Center, specializing in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and Stem Cell Transplant. In 2000, they joined the National Cancer Institute, NIH as a Senior Investigator in the Cancer Therapy Evaluation Program (CTEP). Barry's expertise in clinical operations led him to become the Senior Vice President of Global Clinical Operations at Theradex in 2007. At Theradex, they worked with biotech, mid and large pharma companies on global clinical trials for oncology drugs. Barry has extensive experience working with North American, Asian, and European sponsors, with a particular focus on biotech and Japanese sponsors. Barry has been involved in all phases of clinical trials and has played a key role in driving the success of these studies.

Barry Anderson's education history begins with their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biology from Lehigh University, which they earned from 1976 to 1980. Barry then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Immunology at Duke University School of Medicine for the period of 1980 to 1983. Following this, they attended the University of Virginia from 1983 to 1987, where they obtained their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree. Subsequently, Barry completed a Pediatric Residency at Northwestern University, Children's Hospital, lasting from 1987 to 1990. Finally, they carried out a Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Fellowship at the National Cancer Institute, NIH, from 1990 to 1994.
