Stéphanie LOPEZ, Ph.D.

Data scientist - Principal Investigator at Therapixel

Stéphanie LOPEZ, Ph.D. has a wealth of experience in the field of data science. In 2013, they began their doctoral studies at I3S/CNRS, and in 2016 they took on an ATER role at Université Nice Sophia Antipolis (member of Université Côte d'Azur). From 2013-2016, they also worked as a Doctorant Contractuel Chargé d'Enseignement at IUT Nice. In 2010, they graduated from Polytech'Nice-Sophia with a degree in Mathematics Applied and Modeling, specializing in Signal for Health, Image Treatment and Multimedia.

In 2012, they were a Stagiaire at Centre Hospitalier Princesse Grace and in 2013 they were a Stagiaire at Galderma. In 2018, they began working as a Data Scientist - Principal Investigator for both Université Côte d'Azur and Therapixel. At Université Côte d'Azur, they worked on the LungScreenCT project, which was one of four projects supported by AstraZeneca, and the RADVISE-X project, which was supported by the French government.

In 2019, they founded WiMLDS Sophia-Antipolis (Women in Machine Learning and Data Science Sophia-Antipolis). In 2021, they became the Co-Founder and Host of the podcast Horizon-IA, which focuses on the popularization of Artificial Intelligence.

Stéphanie LOPEZ, Ph.D. completed their Baccalauréat S in Mathématiques from Lycée Masséna between 2004 and 2007. Stéphanie then attended Lycée Massena and obtained an Attestation Classes Préparatoires aux grandes écoles in Physique et Sciences de l'Ingénieur from 2007 to 2010. Stéphanie then attended Polytech'Nice-Sophia and obtained their Engineer's degree in Mathématiques Appliquées from 2010 to 2013. Finally, they completed their Doctorat en informatique in Machine Learning from école doctorale STIC between 2013 and 2017.
