Gary Knight has diverse work experience in various industries and roles.
Gary began their career in 2008 as an Assistant Training Manager at Best Buy, where they worked until 2012.
In 2011, they joined the United States Army Reserve as an Information Technology Project Manager, serving as the 139th Medical Brigade S6 Officer in charge. Gary was responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Army/civilian networks across wide geographic spectrums.
In 2012, Gary moved to IBM, where they worked as a System ADMIN Team Lead specializing in backup and recovery using TSM (Tivoli Storage Manager) and Net Backup 7.6 software. Gary also managed remote server operations and worked with various operating systems.
In 2014, they joined the United States Army Reserve again, this time as an Information Technology Program Manager, where they served until 2020. During this time, they also worked as a Cloud Systems Administrator and Project Manager at Lansing Trade Group, LLC.
In 2017, Gary became the Senior IT Operations Project Manager and Project Management Office Lead for DXC Technology, where they handled the Data Center for the USMC.
Gary then moved to UnitedHealth Group in 2018 as a Technical Project Manager focused on mergers and acquisition.
In the same year, they also worked as a Business Systems Manager at Agrex Inc., a Mitsubishi company, responsible for managing internal business systems and continuity.
In 2020, Gary became the Director of IT at the United States Army Reserve, where they oversaw IT operations and served as a Company Commander.
Since 2022, they have been working as the Director of Information Technology at Therapy Brands, responsible for managing IT infrastructure, overseeing technical projects, and ensuring effective delivery of networks and disaster recovery systems.
Gary Knight attended Lincoln University in Missouri from 2007 to 2011, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree with a minor in Business and Information Systems. Their field of study was Political Science and Government. In 2012, they attended the US Army Signal Officer School for IT and completed the Signal Basic Officer Leader Course (SBLOC), specializing in IT Project Management.
