Luis Emanuel Cabrera

Luis Emanuel Cabrera has extensive work experience in software engineering and management. Luis Emanuel started their career at Jaque Software as a Software Developer for 1 year and 3 months, where they worked on ERP systems for several regional clients. Luis Emanuel then joined Axoft as a Software Developer, specializing in WPF C# and Borland Delphi, for 2 years. Following that, they joined emmsa consulting as a Senior Software Developer, working on asp.net and C# projects for Liberty Insurance.

In 2010, Luis joined Capgemini as a Senior Software Developer, where they maintained and developed new features for Repsol's intranet and web portal. Luis Emanuel also worked as a Technical Lead, leading the development of a responsive web app for executives at Repsol. Later, they became a Software Engineering Team Lead, providing guidance and instruction to a team of 3 developers working on an asp.net application for Endesa web portal.

In 2013, Luis joined CodeMetro, Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer, where they developed a responsive mobile app using ASP.NET MVC and improved database and application performance. Luis Emanuel later became an Engineering Team Lead, supervising an offshore team of 5 developers and 1 QA. Luis Emanuel modernized the UI of a legacy WinForm system using DevExpress rich UI and responsive DataGrid Components.

Luis is currently working at Therapy Brands as a Software Engineering Manager. Luis Emanuel manages two teams of 5 senior engineers each and oversees complex technical projects supporting over 16,000 users. Luis Emanuel is responsible for hiring and training new engineers, ensuring high-quality products, and providing guidance to achieve project goals.

Luis Emanuel Cabrera earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Computer Science from the University of the West, where they studied from 2017 to 2019. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems from Universidad Blas Pascal, completing their studies from 2007 to 2010. Luis Emanuel also holds a degree in Computer Systems Analyst (Oriented to software developing) from Instituto Superior Juan XXIII, which they completed from 2002 to 2005. In addition to their formal education, Luis obtained certifications from Microsoft, including the 70-515 MCTS: Web Applications Development .Net 4.0 in September 2013, and the 70-536 TS: Microsoft .NET Framework in September 2012, with a score of 935/1000.
