Kamini Varma serves as Vice President of R&D in the Genetic Sciences Division at Thermo Fisher Scientific since April 2013, where responsibilities include leading the Molecular Diagnostic R&D group and overseeing the Global Product Development team for Covid-19 molecular testing solutions. Prior to this, Kamini Varma held various positions at Life Technologies and Applied Biosystems, focusing on genetic analysis and product development. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Mississippi Medical Center and a B.S. in Genetics and Chemistry from Osmania University.
